The Founder Members

Sue McLaughlin

Sue has no interest in Performance activities and has sworn never to set foot on a stage if “people” are around! She is the Group Membership Secretary of the local U3A and is also a serving Parish Councillor. Sue has a natural “Mother” personality so all the members of the group have someone to turn to when they need help or reassurance so it is only natural that she be the group’s Membership Coordinator, Safeguarding Officer, Child Protection Coordinator and any other role which requires someone who genuinely cares about people’s health, happiness and well-being. Most importantly. she also makes the best cakies in Lincolnshire!

Colin Robinson

Colin has chaired drama groups throughout the UK and overseas, has written many stage productions and acted in many more and has a degree in Performing Arts. He regularly auditions for the role of “Prince” or “Hero” but usually gets chosen to be the Dame. This does NOT mean he likes wearing women’s clothes! He has been a volunteer for MIND, a Parish Councillor, Chairman of the Youth Project Charity in Sutton Bridge, Editor of the Sutton Bridge News website, Chairman of the local U3A group and in his spare time, reads, re-reads and re-re-reads Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams books!

Natalie Mills

Natalie is an actress with an impressive CV of performances on stage, TV and Films, having acted with a number of major stars. She has been a member of a large number of drama groups in the area and has an impressive network of contacts who would help with any issues the group encounters. She has much to teach members and her wealth of experience is a significant asset in her doing so. An experienced Director, she has the “vision” and knowledge to bring mere words on paper to full and glorious life on stage. She hails from London and has lived in Essex so as the group’s Treasurer, not a penny is spent without VERY good reason! She is also exceptionally good at playing the “Baddie”!

Ian Collins

Ian has a wealth of acting experience and involvement in local drama groups. Known for his portrayal of Pantomime Dames where some say, he looks far too good and seems to enjoy it a little too much, he is also an excellent musician, trained by the Royal College of Music and is employed by them, casually, as an Examiner. He is calm, diplomatic and an excellent Group Secretary as he has a penchant for detail and the patience of a Saint! Ian also plays the organ for his local Church and runs a Community Choir where he teaches people of all ages to sing in harmony. He still has some hair left but it’s fast turning grey!
